"What to say what to say.....

It's funny that as personal as Mood Swings is, talking about me is still one thing that I’m incredibly uncomfortable with. I, by far, am my least favorite subject, so bare with me.

There's not much to say, I consider myself as simple (not to be confused with boring) as human beings come. Born, and raised in Detroit, MI, I struggled with communicating my true feelings as a child and found writing to be the perfect outlet. Poetry was a natural form of communication for me and over the years became a passion, and on some levels a form of therapy. Over the years, I've learned to write when there's something on my mind, and not only when things in life are going awry. I find poetry in the everyday of life, and in each interaction I have, and I hope you'll enjoy this journey.

I like to spend my free time working with AIDS charities, both locally and nationally. This has been a fight that is reaching a record mark, and I'm still hopeful that this disease will soon come to an end, and am pleased with the progress of modern medicine, and the efforts that certain charities and organizations are making. Through education, open - mindedness, creativity, and communication, I know that a vaccine and or cure will emerge soon.

Mood Swings is my invitation to you the reader to travel on a very personal journey into my heart, and life. I wish I could give you more about me, but if you want to get to know me, I invite you into my Mood Swings."
